Obituary of Valerie Wallis

Valerie O. Wallis, 80, of Jacksonville, FL, went home to our LORD on Saturday, May 17th after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born June 29, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN, and made Jacksonville her home in 1960. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John W. Wallis, and her sons William J. Wallis, and Michael J. Wallis and son-in-law Robert J. Coppedge.

She was an active parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church. Valerie was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Valerie is survived by her sons Steven (Sandy), Joseph (Donna), and daughter Mary Jean Coppedge, and seven grandchildren Christine, John, Angela, Joel, Ryan, Kathryn and Megan. Sisters: Patti Ann Francomacaro and Katherine Hegman. Brothers: Thomas Olson and Raymond Olson, Sr.

There will be a rosary followed by mass on Saturday, May 24th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 742 N. Arlington Road, 724-0080, beginning at 11am.
