SNIPES Velar Opal Snipes, 85, born December 21, 1931 in Waycross, GA to Jefferson and Thelma (Tanner) Smith, passed away March 13, 2017 in Summerfield, FL 34491. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brothers, sisters, and two of her children Calvin and Alvin Head. Velar is survived by her children Elizabeth Harrison, Barbara (Fred) Baugh, Edward Head, and James Snipes. Along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Velar's family will receive friends for a Graveside Visitation Gathering at 12 noon - 1pm, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 with a Graveside Blessing at 1pm. Dr. Orvin Feliciano to officiate.
