Vera May VanHeusen, age 94, daughter of Lawrence and Edna Powers Ludlam, who was born, April 19, 1923 in Elmira, New York passed away November 7, 2017 at her home in the care of her family in Jacksonville, Florida.
Vera was a welder during WWII, She assisted her husband Jefferson in running their family business, and then became a homemaker. Vera enjoyed cooking, sewing, camping, and making people smile.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband Jefferson Feigle VanHeusen, her son Jerry "Soupy" Campbell, and her siblings: Laura, Jane, Jerry, Edward, Walter, and Norman.
She is survived by; Daughters Susanne Turbeville, Diane Tillett; Sons Charles VanHeusen and Gary Campbell. As well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren
The family will receive guests for a Visitation 10 to 11AM, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11AM Wednesday November 15, 2017 in Arlington Park Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carl Logan officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 (904) 724-6384.
