Vera Lynn, 90, passed away on June 30, 2022. Born September 10, 1931 in Starke, Florida to the late Charlie Rayford and Margaret (Blackburn) Alvarez. She was the third of six children they would have together…three sons and three daughters with her being the 'feistiest' of them all. Vera lived on her own terms and remained independent, strong willed and determined to live on her own. She was the family historian and loved her treasured photos, talking with family near and far, her collection of pigs, and enjoyed making crafts until her eyes could no longer see.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, James and her son Roger Harris. Vera is survived by her sons Jerry N. Harris (Donna) of The VILLAGES, FL, Kenneth E. Harris of Jacksonville, FL, and Deborah B. Leibecki (Lee) of Atlantic Beach, FL; 6 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 11 at 11:30AM in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL.
