Obituary of Virginia Cook
Virginia Mae Cook (nee Cason) left us on April 18, 2013 to spend eternity with the love of her life, Albert and her Lord. She was born on February 10, 1917 in St. James, Missouri to Horace and Annie E. Cason. She married Albert I. Cook on August 26, 1938. A long-time resident of Jacksonville, she was a member of the choir at Peace Presbyterian Church for many years. She and Albert were avid square dancers, and were members of several clubs in the Jacksonville area. She is survived by one sibling, Frank Cason of Wisconsin; three sons, Larry (Carolyn), Phillip (Deb) and Kenneth (Julia); nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 11:00am at the funeral home, with Reverend Mark G. Lemmenes officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Community Hospice or a charity of your choice.
