KIRK – Funeral services for Virginia Cummings Kirk, 94, will be held at 11:00am Friday, January
27th in the chapel of ARLINGTON PARK FUNERAL HOME at 6920 Lone Star Road with Rev.
Stephen Spinnenweber officiating. Interment to follow in Arlington Park Cemetery. The service

A native of Schenectady, NY, Mrs. Kirk passed away in her home, surrounded by friends and
family on January 18, 2023. She was raised in Upstate New York and later in Neptune Beach,
Florida. She graduated from Jacksonville University's College of Music with a bachelor's degree.
She was married to her husband Brenton for 40 years. She enjoyed classical music, the opera,
singing, studying the violin and the piano, canoeing, sailing, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking,
walking, and archery. Her most precious time was spent studying the Bible.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband Brenton L. Kirk, her brother, Morris V. Cummings, and
her sister, Louise Alta Cummings (Bowden). She is survived by her three children: Sharon V. Kirk
of Lake Forest, CA, Cynthia K. Brown (William) of Jacksonville, FL, Forrest L. Kirk, of Atlantic
Beach, FL, and stepson, Brenton (Chip) L. Kirk, of St. Augustine, FL. She is also survived by six
grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like
