Virginia Spruill, 78, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Virginia was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Victor and Virginia (Miller) Williams on December 8, 1940.  She graduated Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina in 1962.  On June 27, 1965 she married Robert J Spruill. They moved to Jacksonville in December of 1965.

Virginia was a teacher at Holiday Hill Elementary School until her two sons were born.  After which, she enjoyed being a stay home Mom.  She was involved in many activities with school, youth sports, scouting and at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.  She loved cooking and being outside, particularly visiting parks and doing yard work.  Most of all, she loved being with her family.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Virginia Williams and her sister, Mary Cook, of Leesville, South Carolina.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Robert, her two sons John (Karyn) and Vic (Nicole) and two grandchildren Kelsey and Kyler.

An inurnment service will commence Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:30am in the Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211, with Dr. Timothy McDaniel officiating.
