Obituary of Vivian Young
Vivian Marlene Young, 79, born August 21, 1936 in Lanett, Alabama to Clarence Pike and Kathleen Thomas Pike, passed away August 26, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. Marlene loved working in the yard with her flowers and being in the sunshine, she was her older sister's total care provider. She enjoyed playing cards and domino's with her sisters and cousins, very much. But most of all she loves Jesus and that is where she is now, and He wanted her to come home. Marlene was preceded in death by both parents. She is survived by daughter, Robyn (Bill) Knight; sisters, Frances G. Pike, Carolyn Crossley, Lynda (Gustav) Egerer; grandchildren, Amber (Nick) Blazer, Taylor (Michael) Harvey, Danyela (Andrew) Graham, Daniel (Caitlyn) Harris and nine great grand children; many beloved nieces and nephews; cousins, Fran (Wayne) Davis, Julie Wimbish and two cats, Gigi and Sissy. A Visitation Gathering will be held from 12 PM, Noon-1PM, Monday, August 31, 2015 at Destination Church, 88 Arlington Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow with Pastor Chad Burgbacher officiating. Marlene's family and friends will then proceed to Arlington Park Cemetery for a Graveside Blessing.
