Obituary of Vuna Shaw

Vuna Cecelia Shaw, 79, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. Vuna was born June 22, 1931 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Robert and Reba Hickey. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph Shaw of sixty-three years and son Ted Shaw. Vuna loved gardening and her feline companion Prissy. She is survived by her son Kenneth Shaw; daughter Patricia (William) Bass; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a visitation on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and a funeral service on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00am. Services will be officiated by Reverend Jim Black. Interment will follow.
