Wanda Joan Eddins Higgs,72,passed away on 6/6/23. After a knee surgery, in Jacksonville, Florida.

She was born (Gabriele Ingeborg Maschum) in shed #27 in Bad Orb, Germany's refugee camp on, Oct 23rd 1950.  She then was adopted by a military couple, Walter & Dorothea Eddins, at the age of 4 and brought to the US.

Wanda lived in Maryland where she graduated from Gwynn Park Sr High in Brandywine, Md. She got married, then divorced & moved to Virginia. She stayed there awhile until she wanted to be with all her family in Florida. So, she picked up and came to Florida where she worked doing billing for a luggage company.

She also had a very strong love for the Lord…She loved her church, Old Plank Rd. Baptist. She just couldn't get around well enough to go as often as she would have liked to.

Wanda was a very very strong woman…She could do everything on her own before she was sick & hurt…But her main love was for her dog "Aleah." That was her partner, life, confidante, and her very best friend. She has no more pain at all & I know she is with the Lord having a great time…She will be dearly missed… She is being cremated per her request & no service or funeral…
