Waverly F. Fant, 91 of Jacksonville passed away Tuesday January 9, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Atlanta, GA the youngest son of John P. and Olivia Wolfe Fant. He served in the US Army in the last years of World War II and graduated from the University of GA Atlanta Division with a BS in Accounting. He worked for Winn-Dixie for 30 years before retiring as corporate Treasurer. He was active in his church and the Jacksonville Orchid Society. Following his retirement he was treasurer of the Alderman Park Civic Association and kept the books and did fund raising for Ucom. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings and by his wife of 62 years Dorothy.

He is survived by his devoted daughter, Mary and numerous nieces and nephews.
