Obituary of Wayne Phillips
Wayne David Phillips, 51, graduated to glory with the Lord on July 6, 2008. He was born August 1, 1956 in Utica, New York to Wesley and Alta Phillips but his family soon moved to Jacksonville where he grew up on the westside and attended Robert E. Lee High School. Wayne was a long-term employee with Hope Depot and was very active with his church, Global Impact Ministries. He was a great servant of the Lord and showed his love of Christ in all of his daily activities. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Wesley, who passed shortly after they were born, and his sister Sharon. His memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him especially his loving wife of 20 years, Barbara; his sons, William, Chris (Christy) and Corey; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Liliana Grace and Mason Vaughn; his brother Gary; his sister Mary; a loving extended family and a host of faithful friends. A celebration of Waynes life will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Global Impact Ministries, 8550 Arlington Expressway. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8:00pm at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Waynes memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
