Obituary of William Cotner
William Edward Cotner, 69, passed away April 12, 2010. He was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mr. Cotner proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a volunteer at the Arlington Community Services. His first love was to Jesus Christ and to ministering in music and to the homeless in downtown Jacksonville. He was a member of the Narrow Way Ministries and had a beautiful baritone voice when singing. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Johnette; son, Todd (Becky); daughter, Suzanne (Steven), Jeanine; grandchildren, Rachael, Rebekah, Allison, John, Joshua, Savannah, Courtney, and Blake; great-grandchild, Danielle; sisters, Betty Stroud (Raleigh) and Sylvia Cotner; sister-in-law Glenda Repsher (Bill) and numerous nephews and nieces. A memorial gathering will be held in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 12:00PM with Rev. Sam Greene and Rev. Jose Bosque, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
