William Culbert James Jr., age 69, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at
his home under Hospice Care. He was born on April 18, 1948 in Tampa, Florida
and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville. William was a Vietnam War Veteran
serving in the United States Marine Corp.

William was a trainman for CSX Transportation for 34 years retiring in 2008. He
was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. He was an avid reader, coin
collector, and enjoyed stamp collecting.

William was preceded in death by his parents William and Frances James.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Jill, his daughters, Stacey Chambers
(Greg) of Blue Ridge, Georgia; Nancy James of Jacksonville; siblings; Louis B.
James (Barbara) of Houston, Texas; and Mary Frances Draper (Scott) of Tampa,
Florida. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Carson and Campbell
Chambers.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening,
September 14, 2017 from 5-7PM at Arlington Memorial Park Funeral Home,
6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM, Friday, September 15, 2017 at Parkwood
Baptist Church, 7500 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211 with Pastor
Larry Weaver officiating.
