Obituary of William McKee

William "Bill" H. McKee, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 23, 2013. He was born in Jacksonville, FL., to the late William H. McKee Sr. and Pauline McKee. Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife Agnes McKee of 68 years and daughter Barbara "Bobbie" McGraw. He served in the Second Marine division in the Pacific during World War II and was part of the occupational forces in Nagasaki, Japan. Bill worked for Gulf Oil Corporation for forty years and retired as a Senior Sales Engineer in 1983. Bill was a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a Shriner with the Morocco Temple for over fifty years. Bill was well known for being an avid lifelong Florida Gator Fan. He is survived by his daughter Billie (Mike) Fouty of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Eric McGraw, Brent (Jessica) McGraw, Leigh Ann (David) Nieminen; great-grandchildren Claire and Katelyn Nieminen, Emma and Patrick McGraw; sister Harriett Mette; son-in-law Wayne McGraw; devoted friend Gary Chandler and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, and a celebration of life on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11:30am at Franklin Street Baptist Church, 2521 Franklin Street. Services will be officiated by Pastor and dear friend Dr. Terry Gore. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida at 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
