William (Woody) H. Monegue, age 84, who was born, January 8, 1933 in Jacksonville, Florida passed away July 3rd.
Woody was preceded in death by his beloved wife Janet, his parents, Richard E. and Lillian D. Monegue, one brother Richard E. Monegue, JR. Monegue.
He is survived and dearly missed by his two daughters Lillian Diane (Nicely) Tull (Keith Tull) and Kerry Monegue Meyer, his three grandsons, Bryan Meyer (Karyn), AJ Meyer, and Joshua Meyer (Sarah) and great grandchildren Skye Meyer and Abel Meyer, also his sister-in-law, nephew and niece. And by all the people that throughout the years he made part of the family by touching their lives so that they called him "Papa" he opened his heart and home to everyone. And last but not least his beloved four legged companions Buddy and Jesse.
He was a graduate of Landon High School, then soon after as a young man Woody was an U.S. Army Paratrooper and flight rigger being discharged from the Army in 1956. He then worked as a property appraiser for Duval County and FHA\HUD for many years. He always loved sports from High School to the end he was watching or playing sports. He loved playing Softball finally gave it up while playing In the over 60 league. He was able to spend a very long retirement with his Wife Janet playing golf, and watching the boys play sports and grow in to wonderful men. He just loved being with his family and pets.

A Graveside Celebration of Life Service will take place at 1:00PM on Friday July 7, 2017 in Arlington Park Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road Jacksonville, 32211
