Obituary of William Palmer
William Danby Palmer, LTC, US Army Retired, 75, entered into rest on June 24, 2012. He is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was born on April 5, 1937 to the late William H Palmer, Jr. and Doris Mary Palmer in Sheffield, Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 52 beautiful years, Carol E. Palmer; children, Kristina Palmer and Jessica Flamio; grandchildren, Courtney Palmer, Anthony Flamio, Mariah Webb and Cheyenne Webb; great grandchild Gage Palmer; brother, Robert N. (Betty) Palmer, sister in law Betty (Donald) Miller; son in law, Sherman Webb and many treasured friends. Bill retired from the Army in 1977 and has long since been a resident of Jacksonville, FL. He was also retired from Coastal Industries. He enjoyed spending most of his time cherishing his family, and his days golfing and playing tennis at Hidden Hills. He was very active in motorcycle riding, playing the ukulele and fishing. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 6-8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11:00am in the Cemetery at Arlington Park. A reception is to follow at the American Legion Post 283, 9459 Ft.
