Obituary of William Schmidt

William Carl Schmidt, Jr., 85, of Jacksonville, FL, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2012. He traveled the world as a sea captain and retired as the Captain of the Blackbeard Ferry in Mayport, FL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Madeline Schmidt. Bill leaves to cherish his beloved wife Margo Schmidt; sons, Billy (Betty) and Freddie Bentzel; daughter, Ruth Ann (Johnny) Potts, as well as grandchildren and great grand children. Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 3-5:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. His funeral will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 2:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
