William H. Tabone, 101, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Valletta, Malta on November 30, 1918 to parents Joseph Tabone and Henrietta Girard.
William worked for the Michigan Heart Association as Director of Administration and Finance retiring in 1983. He was an active member in the "Sons of Italy" Club and interests included ballroom dancing, photography, and spending time with his grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by both parents and son, Henry James Tabone.
He is survived by, his loving wife of 79 years Rosalie; brother, Albert Tabone; sons, Frank Tabone, Joseph Tabone, and William Tabone, Jr.; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 11:00am to 12:00pm, Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at St Paul's Catholic Church, 435 1st Ave N, Jacksonville Beach, FL with a Rosery. A Mass of Catholic Burial will start at 12:00pm, with Father Kelly officiating. Entombment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921, Lone Star Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32211.
