Obituary of William Watson

Mr. William "Bill" Rutland Watson, Jr., 84, entered into rest on June 17, 2011. He was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Rose Watson on December 12, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Mr. Watson received his pilot license when he was sixteen and continued to fly for many years. He was a man of great strength and his family always came first. He worked as a manager with Mercedes Benz for twenty five years and then went to work for his son at Comfort Sentry for many years. Bill is preceded in death by his by wife of forty seven wonderful years, Cecilia Watson; daughter, Donna Robison; and grandsons, Michael E. and William R. Watson, IV. He is survived by his children, Debra (William) Smith, William R. (Jennifer) Watson III, Mark (Diane) Watson, and David (Tina) Watson; grandchildren, Clarissa Philip, Christopher and Cameron Smith, Ferrell, Travis, Daniel, and Derek Watson, Christina and Phillip Lay Jr.; great grandchildren, Grace and Ethan Smith, Kylie and Kayla Lay, Raven and soon to make his appearance Evan Watson; brother, Kenneth (Judy) Watson; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 6-8:00pm at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL, (904)724-6384. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00am at Arlington Park Cemetery, 6921 Lone Star Road. Bill will be greatly missed b by all who knew and loved him.
