Obituary of Willie Jenkins

Willie Jenkins, was born March 14, 1938 in Savannah, Georgia. He is survived by his loving wife, Freddie Russel Jenkins, his sister Ann Scott and her husband Archie Scott, and his nephew Kenneth T. Grant. Willie passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2008 to be with his heavenly father.

Willie was a 30-year veteran of the United States Navy and retired as a Senior Chief. He received numerous awards and decorations throughout his service to our country. Willie was proud that he could still fit in his military uniform after he had been retired for more than thirty years. He was a member of the American Legion Post# 0316.

Willie was the Maintenance Supervisor of Regency Square Mall for twenty three years. It was rare that he did not have a smile on his face and always had words of wisdom. His co-workers and friends throughout the mall will miss him dearly.

Family will receive friends at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, for a memorial service on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
