Willie Mae Owens, 94, passed away June 10, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born November 7, 1922 in Morgan City, Louisiana to Clem Owens and Louisa Hill-Owens. Willie Mae excelled in the field of Physical Education. She taught Athletics to college students. Her last assignment was at Wiley College in Marshall, TX.
She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Evans; cousin, Gurtrude Bartley; nieces, Tanisha and Reisha Townsend.
A Celebration of Life will be this Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Arlington Park Cemetery.
